Thailand eVisa Policy
If you are travelling to Thailand, you must know whether you are required to obtain Thailand eVisa, are visa-exempt or need to apply for visa through Thailand embassy or consulate.
Eligible Countries for Thailand eVisa
The Thailand eVisa is an electronic travel authorisation that comes with single and multiple-entry options and covers travel purposes such as tourism/lesiure, family visit, medical treatment, recreation learning and training activities, football trail,MICE activities supported by TCEB.
Thailand eVisa Types
- Thailand single-entry Tourist eVisa
- Validity: 90 days
- Stay Duration: 60 days
- Thailand multiple-entry Tourist eVisa
- Validity: 180 days
- Stay Duration: Upto 60 days per visit
Note: Thailand multiple-entry visa only allows tourism/leisure trips.
What do Applicants Need to Submit?
- Passport Bio Page Scan: The passport must be valid for 6 months.
- Passport-Size Photograph: Recently taken high quality image.
- Entry and Exit Travel Confirmation: Flight booking, ferry/ship booking, or any other travel proof (depening on the means of transport used for entry and exit).
- Accommodation Proof: Hotel booking, or invitation letter from the host (if staying with a host in Thailand).
- Sufficient Fund Proof: Bank statement, salary slip, or a sponsorship letter. The minimum amount required is 20,000 TBH.
- Document Indicating Current Location: Utility bill, residence permit, visa or any other proof that clearly confirms applicant current address.
Thailand single-entry tourist eVisa requirements will vary depending on the travel purpose selected by the applicant.
How to Obtain Thailand eVisa?
- Step 1: Fill Out the Visa Application: Provide passport, travel and general details. Select touris eVisa type and processing option.
- Step 2: Upload Documents: Upload scan copy of all the required documents.
- Step 3: Pay the Visa Fee: The visa fee can be paid using credit/debit card, PayPal, cryptocurrency.
- Step 4: Receive Approval: The approved Thailand eVisa is delivered to applicant’s registered email ID.
